Just as the recent storm swept through the north-west the previous evening, the home side blew United away at the their home ground. It was a emphatic three goal triumph for the City coach's side thanks to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a performance that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their position at the WSL pinnacle.
