Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
