In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
